44th Congress of the ESCRS

The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) was founded in 1991 to promote education and research in the field of intraocular lens implantation and refractive surgery, and to advance the practice of ophthalmology.

With over 7,500 members from more than 130 countries, it is one of the world’s leading societies for cataract and refractive surgery. ESCRS evolved from the European Intraocular Implant Club, established in 1981, highlighting its long tradition and continuous innovation in the field.

The annual ESCRS congresses represent scientific excellence, international networking, and the exchange of the latest research findings.
